EMPATHETIC + AUTHENTIC + GROUNDED

Hi,
I am Omar

(he/him)

You are the protagonist of your own life

Have you  Aever felt stuck in a difficult chapter of your life, unsure of how to move forward or disconnected from the person you want to be?

“You are the protogonist of your own life” is a philosophy I have carried with me for years. It reminds me that although we cannot always control what happens to us, we can learn to understand our experiences, reconnect with our strengths, and choose how we want to move forward.

I believe therapy, should feel like a genuine conversation with someone who listens without judgment and takes the time to understand you. I bring warmth, curiosity, and authenticity into our work, creating a space where you do not need to have everything figured out or find the perfect words.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed,  Whether  you are feeling overwhelmed, adjusting to change, or trying to understand yourself more deeply, we will explore your story together and identify a path that feels meaningful to you. You remain the author of your journey and  I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you beging your next chapter.

How I Work

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I offer a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I draw from evidence-informed approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy.

My practice is built on these frameworks because I believe therapy should do more than simply address symptoms. I chose to specialize in modalities that help us explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, values, experiences, and the story you hold about yourself. For you, this means our sessions will be tailored to where you are and what you need, whether that involves developing practical coping strategies, understanding patterns that may be keeping you stuck, building greater self-compassion, reconnecting with your values and strengths, or creating meaningful change in your life. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we will work together to find what resonates with you and supports the direction you want to move in.

Client Focus:

Areas Of Focus:

Depresion: Support for understanding low mood, rebuilding motivation, and developing healthier emotional and behavioural patterns.

School-related anxiety and academic stress: Support for managing school pressure, performance anxiety, workload, and challenges with academic expectations.

Self-esteem concerns: Support for developing a healthier self-image, recognizing personal strengths, and building greater confidence and self-acceptance.

Grief and loss: Support for processing loss, navigating difficult emotions, and adjusting to life after meaningful change.

Neurodiversity and ADHD support: Strengths-based support for understanding individual needs and managing challenges related to attention, organization, and emotional regulation.

Anxiety: Support for understanding anxious thoughts, managing overwhelming feelings, and developing practical coping strategies.

Cultural Adjustment and Acculturation Challenges: Support for navigating cultural transitions, identity concerns, belonging, and adapting to a new environment.

Life Transitions: Guidance through significant changes such as starting school, changing careers, moving, or entering a new stage of life.

What to Expect in our session:

Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical to be meaningful. I believe some of the most important work can happen through an honest conversation where you feel comfortable enough to be yourself, whether we’re sitting with something difficult, making sense of a pattern you’ve noticed, or even finding room for humour along the way.

Our work is collaborative and active. You bring the expertise of your own life, while I bring curiosity, clinical knowledge, and different ways of helping us understand what may be happening beneath the surface. Sometimes that means slowing down and exploring a thought, emotion, or experience more deeply. Other times, we might challenge an unhelpful pattern, identify what matters most to you, practice a strategy you can use outside of therapy, or look at the story you’ve been telling yourself from a different perspective.

When I am not collaborating with clients, you can usually find me:

Staying active: whether I’m at the gym, training martial arts, or simply getting outside and moving.

Unwinding with a good story: I enjoy watching movies and TV series, reading books, and anything that leaves me with something interesting to reflect on afterward.

Exploring the city: trying new cafés and restaurants, checking out local events, or spending time with friends..

Finding ways to recharge: I value having time to slow down, reset, and enjoy the little things outside of work.
